Laurie Lloyd has been an integral part of the financial services industry since 1975. The first 25 years of her career were spent in the Trust Department of a bank where she worked in estate planning and settlement, trust administration and asset management. Her duties included trust tax planning and preparation and portfolio management including stocks, bonds, and cash. Laurie also dealt extensively with other asset management including real estate (residences, rentals, commercial, real estate secured debt, and royalty interests), collectibles (gold, silver, stamps, jewelry) and anything else of value that an individual might own.
Laurie sees her role as one of a client advocate and aims to go beyond simple financial solutions to be an essential partner and friend to her clients. She also believes strongly in collaboration with other specialty advisors to bring about the most successful conclusion of a client’s goals.
Laurie graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School Trust Division and has served two terms as president of the Northwest Washington Estate Planning Council. She secured her Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and Life and Health Insurance license in 2001 and completed the Series 9/10 Securities Supervision licensing in 2005. She is registered to sell securities in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Missouri, Colorado and New York.
Laurie lives in Ferndale with her husband Ric, 3 dogs, and 2 horses. They have one son and two grandchildren – a granddaughter who shares Grandma’s passion for horses and a grandson who shares Grandpa’s passion for fishing. She is also very active in the Rotary Club of Whatcom County North and the NW Washington Estate Planning Council.
